On 1 June, the RegInfra team and Dr. Rainer Simon are invited to take part in the Showcase Day of the 2026 IIIF Annual Conference & Showcase, where they presented IMMARKUS in both a showcase talk and a showcase workshop.

On 30 May, Professor Hilde De Weerdt is invited as a roundtable discussant for Rethinking Tools: New Methodological Developments at The Middle without Boundaries? The Fourth Middle-Period China Humanities Conference, hosted by the City University of Hong Kong.

The workshop "Quantifying Material Infrastructure in Late Imperial China," organized by the ERC project Regionalizing Infrastructures in Chinese History took place at KU Leuven from May 18 to 21, 2026.
