In the reading seminar on January 24, participants engaged in a discussion of selected chapters from Ruth Mostern’s recent book on the history of the Yellow River.

Professor De Weerdt explains how a model of governance focused on the arts of governance expressed in early Tang mirror literature was gradually pushed to the background in political advice literature of the Song and Yuan periods.

Professor De Weerdt will participate in the Object Lessons: Multimodal Analysis of Text Carriers Across Disciplines Conference with the paper "Contextualising Stone Stelae and Stele Inscriptions in Chinese History".
