Yating Guo

Yating Guo is currently an intern on a research project focusing on infrastructures in Qing Dynasty China, with particular attention to city wall construction and related engineering systems. In the project, she is responsible for image annotation, search term optimization, as well as data processing and visualization.

She is currently pursuing an Advanced Master’s degree in Digital Humanities at KU Leuven. She holds a Master’s degree in Communication, with a focus on science communication, and a Bachelor’s degree in Exhibition Studies.

Combining her background in communication studies with digital humanities methods, Yating is particularly interested in how digital tools can support the study and visualization of historical infrastructures, as well as the interpretation and dissemination of cultural heritage related to Qing dynasty engineering and urban systems.
