Sirui Zhao

Sirui Zhao is an intern in the Regionalizing Infrastructures in Chinese History (RegInfra) project. She contributes to expanding the project’s source base from inscriptions on the construction and repair of city walls, bridges, and roads to Qing dynasty memorials, supporting source collection, corpus development, and text annotation.

She is currently pursuing an Advanced Master’s degree in Digital Humanities at KU Leuven. She previously earned a Master’s degree in Communication: Digital Media and Society from KU Leuven.

She has a strong interest in the intersection of Digital Humanities, historical research, and cultural analysis, with a particular focus on how data-driven methods can be applied to historical texts, cultural materials, and infrastructure studies.
