Jie Liu

Dr. Jie Liu is Professor and doctoral supervisor, currently serving as the head of the Department of Architecture at the School of Design, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He also serves on a number of professional committees, and editorial boards of scientific journals. He completed his B.A. studies at Southwest Jiao Tong University, and his M.A. degree at Tong Ji University in China. He obtained his Ph.D. in Architectural History and Theory 2006 from Tong Ji University. Liu Jie was a Guest Professor & Visiting Scholar at Harvard University (USA), Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Lehigh University (USA), Munich University of Technology (Germany), and New South Wales University (Australia). He has published extensively on the topics of Chinese architecture and Chinese cultural heritage, as author and co-author of several books, monographs, and journal articles.
