Professor Hilde De Weerdt is invited to present on AI and Image Annotation in IMMARKUS at the event Unveiling Digitizing Vietnam: Sino-Vietnamese Studies in the Age of AI, taking place on 18 April at the Columbia University in New York.
In this brief presentation Professor De Weerdt will demonstrate and discuss the implementation of various AI methodologies for image annotation, transcription, and analysis in IMMARKUS, a semantic image annotation service with broad functionality, optimized for IIIF collections. The presentation concludes with an overview of ongoing development including region-based image querying and multimodal analysis, and a preview of future development plans.
