On the Designing a Digital History of the Lives and Afterlives of Chinese Material Infrastructures talk at Leiden University Centre for Digital Humanities, Professor De Weerdt discussed the objectives and key aspects of two large projects ​on the social history and present-day uses of pre-twentieth-century material infrastructures. The talk asks how we can design a critical, regional, digital, and comparative history of historical infrastructures, using a pilot project on city walls as a point of departure.
