Prof. Hilde De Weerdt will give a keynote lecture entitled Rewriting the Social History of Pre-Twentieth-Century Infrastructures at the The Tenth Annual Symposium on Quantitative History at the Shanghai Jiaotong University on July 13, 2024.
The talk will provide an overview of the ERC and NWO projects on The Lives and Afterlives of Chinese Material Infrastructures and position the work done so far within the context of the infrastructural turn in the humanities and social sciences.
