On 27 January, Prof. Hilde De Weerdt, Dr. Rainer Simon, Dr. Sunkyu Lee and Dawn Zhuang presented a workshop titled “Annotating and Transcribing IIIF Images with IMMARKUS” at IIIF 2026 online meeting.

Dr. Yuan-Heng Mao presented his paper, "Reading Infrastructure Seasonally: An Exploration on Roads and Roadwork in Ming and Qing China," at the 2025 International Conference on Ming-Qing Studies in Taipei on December 12, 2025.

Wangzhi Xi presented her paper, "A Hybrid Digital Pipeline for Extracting Event Data from Infrastructure Inscriptions in Ming-Qing China," at the 2025 International Conference on Ming-Qing Studies, Academia Sinica in Taipei on December 12, 2025.

On December 11, Dr. Sunkyu Lee will lead a workshop titled “Image Sources and Digital Annotation in Historical Research” for Ph.D. students in the History Department at KU Leuven.
