The Regionalizing Infrastructures in Chinese History (RegInfra) project held its seventh reading group. The group discussed the value and potential pitfalls of incorporating visual sources into historical research. The conversation also touched on the representations of urban space and its boundaries in Chengtu, the accuracy of the visual material, and the comparability of the visual material with the textual material. The readings were suggested by Meret Meister, and the discussion was moderated by Dr. Sunkyu Lee.
